Hotei today released further details of his forthcoming 17th studio album, “Paradox”, which is released worldwide on 25th October.
The album contains twelve songs and the lyrical themes reflect Hotei’s observations of trying to live a normal life in London, surrounded by major issues like terrorism, brexit and the refugees crisis.

The musicians performing on the album come from 3 continents and reflect Hotei’s status as a genuine international recording artist. Musicians performing on the album are: Hotei longstanding New York based drummer Zachary Alford (David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Springsteen); Liverpool UK drummer Steve Barney (Anastacia, Mike and The Mechanics, Annie Lennox); London bass player Mark Neary (Noel Gallagher); Tokyo based touring band keyboard player Shinya Okuno; Tokyo based touring band member programmer Toshiyuki Kishi; Tokyo based programmer Yukihiro Fukutomi; and Underworld member Darren Price (Programming / remix), with additional support coming from UK based backing vocalists Jasmine Rodgers and Rhys Oakes.
The album is mixed by Grammy Award winner Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters) and Simon Gogerly (U2, Gwen Stefani) and mastered by Grammy Award winner, Tim Young (Rolling Stones, Jamiroquai, Massive Attack).
Hotei collaborated with several Japanese lyricists to create the lyrics which describe the theme of the album – Yukinojo Mori, Kumiko Takahashi, Zheng Forest (Cobb) and Kentaro (Cobb).
