Hotei has contributed a song to The Problem of Leisure: A Celebration of Andy Gill and Gang of Four, a double album of tracks written by Andy Gill and Gang of Four, all newly reinterpreted and recorded by artists whose own unique contributions to music were enriched by listening to Gang of Four. Hotei worked with Andy Gill from Gang of Four in London on the track Dead Souls, on the What Happens Next album in 2015. Andy passed away on 1st February 2020 from a respiratory illness.

The album features songs from across Gang of Four’s 40-plus year career, each individually chosen by the artists’ who covered them. The 20 track album includes contributions from Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) & Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Flea and John Frusciante (The Red Hot Chili Peppers), Gary Numan, Robert Del Naja (Massive Attack) and Idles.

Hotei chose to cover “To Hell with Poverty” with vocals performed by British vocalist Erika Footman, and drums provided by Gang of Four drummer Jon Finnigan. The album is available to pre -order now here >> https://gang-of-four.ffm.to/naturals-not-in-it and will be released on 14th May 2021.
