The original member of the Sex Pistols, Glen Matlock releases “Something ‘Bout the Weekend (feat. HOTEI)” as part of his full album “Consequences Coming”. HOTEI co-wrote the song and played lead guitar alongside a legendary guitarist Earl Slick.

Glen Matlock commented “Having met Hotei for the first time after being introduced by Sigue Sigue Sputnik’s Neal X at one of my shows in London and hanging out together with legendary Earl Slick who was playing with me that night, I immediately thought what a cool, friendly and also what a very tall chap he was!I wasn’t initially sure of his history and background but through Neal, he subsequently invited me to his concert at Shepherds Bush empire in London. I was immediately impressed with the dexterity of his playing, material, stage presence and showmanship and realised he was the real deal. Not long after at the time of me starting recording my current album, through a mutual chum, Mark Garfield, we co wrote a song with Hotei not only playing on it but featuring on lead guitar. I considered this a great honour to have him involved in this way and moving forward, hope that our paths cross more frequently and we can get to collaborate again as the man is a class act.”
